Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to help you plan your visit to Self Regional Urgent Care.
What can I be treated for at Self Regional Urgent Care?
We treat most non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — from cold and flu symptoms to minor cuts, burns, and sprains. We also provide lab testing, X-rays, vaccinations, and physicals for school, work, and sports. Click here for a full list of services.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed! Walk in anytime during business hours or save time by reserving your spot online.
When should I go to the Emergency Room instead of urgent care?
If you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, uncontrolled bleeding, serious head injury, or signs of stroke, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. For everything else — we’re here to help.
What are your hours?
We’re open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Do you offer virtual visits?

Do you take insurance?
Yes. Self Regional Urgent Care accepts a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, Commercial, and Behavioral Health plans.
Accepted plans include (but are not limited to):
- Medicare Plans: Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Devoted Health, First Choice VIP Care, Humana, Medicare, Molina Healthcare, UnitedHealthcare, WellCare, and more.
- Medicaid Plans: Absolute Total Care, BlueChoice HealthPlan, Humana Healthy Horizons, Molina Healthcare, Select Health, and others.

- Behavioral Plans: Companion Benefit Alternatives, Evernorth (Cigna Behavioral), Humana Behavioral, United Behavioral Health, and others.
If your plan isn’t listed, claims may be processed at an out-of-network benefit level. For specific questions about coverage or benefits, please contact your insurance provider or our billing department.
How much will my visit cost?
Urgent care costs are typically much lower than an ER visit. Fees vary depending on the type of visit, services provided, and your insurance coverage. We’ll provide an estimate before your visit whenever possible.
Will you share my visit information with my primary care provider?
Yes. If you have a Self Regional primary care provider, we’ll share your visit notes through our electronic health record system for seamless care coordination.
Can children be seen at Self Regional Urgent Care?
Absolutely. We treat patients of all ages — from toddlers to seniors. Our providers are experienced in caring for children and families.
What should I bring to my visit?
Please bring:
- A photo ID
- Your insurance card
- A list of current medications
- Any forms you need completed (for work, school, or sports)
What happens during my visit?
You’ll be greeted and checked in by our front desk team, then seen by a licensed provider who will review your symptoms, perform any needed tests or X-rays, and discuss your treatment plan. Most visits are completed in under an hour.
